Airlines & Charters

International carriers to Guadeloupe include Air France and Air Canada. Most United States travelers begin by flying to Miami, St. Martin or San Juan, Puerto Rico, on American Airlines or other major airline. American Eagle and Air Caraïbes are the primary carriers to Guadeloupe from San Juan. Air Caraïbes can be ticketed through Continental, US Airways, Delta, Air France, Windward Airways and the Sabre and Amadeus systems three months before travel. Another regional carrier, Air Antilles Express, offers flights between the islands of St. Martin (Grand Case Espérance Airport), Guadeloupe and Martinique. Air France has several flights per week from Miami to Guadeloupe.

If you are using a travel agent for your flights, the following codes may be helpful:
Air Caraïbes (TX)
Air Antilles Express (3S)
American (AA)
Air France (AF)
Guadeloupe Airport (PTP)

Flying time from Miami is approximately 3 hours, from New York 4 1/2 hours, from Montreal 5 hours, and from Paris, 8 1/2 hours. The beautiful new Pole Caraïbes International Airport (PTP) is about 6 miles from Pointe-à-Pitre.
